Pacific Food Summit 2010

The Pacific Food Summit was held in Port Vila, Vanuatu from April 21 to April 23. It was the first time leaders in health, agriculture and trade have come together with industry to take action on Food Security.

What has the Pacific Food Summit achieved?

Our vision is that all people in the Pacific have access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food.

The Pacific Food Summit gave participants an opportunity to review threats to food security in the Pacific and discuss best practice for improving food security. Participants finalized and endorsed a Framework for Action on Food Security to guide action on improving food security in Pacific countries and areas, and regionally.
